With my laptop!!!!

So I forgot about this whole radio show thing for two weeks, and then only managed to show up for the second hour of my set. It was a fight to get myself here, and then I get into the studio and have to kick out a trio of underclassmen who can’t spell “Shakira”.

Dinosaur Jr.- See You

-“Shikera”?
-Me trying to explain the fine points of the interweb’s metaphysics
-Glen Hansard singing the horn part like the badass he is
-Actually being on the radio again: I missed shouting out my voice onto the interwebs and airwaves

…Can you tell me who I’ll be?
Do you know what this all means to me?

Summer Music Is Happening!

Specifically it’s happening right before Democracy, Now! on Fridays 2-4pm. If I post this to the blog maybe it means I’ll actually show up! (That’s three more exclamation points than I intended)

This show was a little on the fly, no laptop means no plan, and no way to know if I’d played the songs before. So I just took it as a field day and played a bunch of songs I loved but knew I’d already played before. Cheating never felt so boring.

Highlights:
-The sad part of the set starting with “Happiness”
-Antlers Lyrics: “Well my trust in you is a dog with a broken leg…”
-The fact that the last show of the semester is the one I begin a blog for.

Cool beans. Now I just have to cram my way through another finals week. whoooh.
With any luck, you’ll hear from me again before August.
